As an important first step in diagnosing, treating and managing injuries and disease, you’ll learn how to produce medical images utilizing the latest technology to assist medical practitioners to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals. Upon graduation, you can explore career opportunities in general radiography, angiography, mammography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine and radiotherapy.

As technology continues to develop, radiation and medical imaging technologists’ ability to uncover medical solutions to diseases increases. Additionally, technology development creates a higher demand for professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and skills. Radiologic technologists create images used to diagnose a patient's injury or illness. They use sophisticated equipment to produce radiographic images, or x-rays, of the human body at the request of a physician.

This program at GU aims to prepare national cadres qualified scientifically and practically in the fields of radiology technology. Learners are capable of performing various procedures of radiology and medical imaging of the human body as well as operating with different types of modern equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
